artist, designer & observations
With a passion for diverse landscapes, my travels have taken me to some beautiful places within the Southwest. San Diego, CA - filled with warm sunny beaches to Albuquerque, NM "the Land of Enchantment" and now to Golden, CO, butt up against the foothills - the gateway to the High Country of the Rocky Mountains. It's been quite an interesting journey. After spending several incredible years in New Mexico, with much time in Santa Fe and Taos where pretty much everything is art and artisans, Colorado came as a bit of a creative shock - a bit of design sterility if you will. With a state steeped in Technology, I suppose the design makes sense? However it's rather odd to be told "you are too creative" - true story!

With a background in Fine Art and a traditional Graphic Design background, infusing textures and colors into design to give them depth whenever possible gives me great joy. Creativity has the ability to communicate and transcend powerful messages. And for me personally, Graphic Design is becoming more about making a difference - connecting with professionals
and businesses who embrace that "green",
"sustainability" and the "environment" are not merely buzz words in a trend, but truly resonate with the
advancement of their public image as well as social responsibility with their brand. My goal is to work with businesses who understand this - want to be successful as well as pillars in their community for positive social change as well as environmental awareness for now and future generations.
Nature, protecting our Planet, its creatures & Oceans
Exploiting the Earth's resources simply for greed is no longer an option. Each of us has the ability to make positive changes to respect the environment and convey gratitude. We must also be more mindful of the amazing creatures who share our Planet. They too deserve our respect and kindness - rather than be used as a "natural resource" and be abused or exploited as man sees fit. Animal abuse in ALL forms must be STOPPED. These creatures must be allowed to live as nature intended. Furthermore, we must stop over-fishing and disrespecting our Oceans! Leaving a minimal carbon footprint ranks pretty high on my "to-do" list and freelancing allows me to be incredibly mindful of it. Beyond the computer Snowboarding is my passion and I truly love winter! Summers are filled with mountain biking and hiking. Mother Nature along with peaceful practices such as yoga and meditation allow me to recharge. Sometimes it's about getting outside - "being" instead of running around and always "doing".
Please be kind to the Environment today and everyday!
